When my Honduran father in-law sold me this property...
Where we have our Yellow Corn crop planted...
His son told me...
¨We sold you this property because the land is useless...
Winter rains create large areas of puddled water...
Crops do not grow in water...¨


I said...
¨Tell your dad he is wrong...
Despite his 50 plus years of farming experience...
Yo...
The Gringo...
With zero farming experience...
Will one day feed my farm animals from this land¨...

We built raised beds on the supposed ¨useless¨ land...

We reorganized...
I sold my prized jeep...

We planted Yellow Corn...
My wife was furious at me...
´Cause she had been brainwashed by her family and neighbors...
